At DIT AgTech we’re always looking for opportunities to improve so our solutions are a long-term asset to customers. We’ve been gathering feedback and ideas while out on customer properties and have been working hard since last year on several improvements to our uDOSE™️ units.
Under the hood we’ve moved to faster, more capable and more available microcontrollers, alternate satellite and terrestrial communication modules for supply chain reliability and higher pressure pumps to suit our largest installations.
We’re also excited about three specific and much more visible upgrades:
Rain gauges
Every 2023 uDOSE™️ system will come with a built-in rain gauge. This feature will be especially beneficial for customers who have multiple uDOSE™️ systems on their property, as it will enable them to accurately track rainfall across their land.
The addition of rain gauges will empower producers to make more informed decisions about irrigation and water management, by providing them with accurate data about the amount of rainfall received.
App-based control interface
We’re enhancing the user experience by transitioning from touch screen interfaces to a Bluetooth and app-based system.
This change was prompted by supply chain concerns but was soon recognized as a turning point to improve the practical and visual experience of checking and adjusting the delivery. Ultimately, it has become a more secure and capable interface then the touch screens.
The app is available on both Android and iOS platforms for in-person control of the nutrient delivery, and every setting can also be adjusted remotely via satellite using our uHUB platform.
Protective cages (for Enterprise customers)
At DIT AgTech we’re committed to providing not just functional but also impressive products to our customers. With that in mind, we’re excited to announce that we will be installing protective steel cages around both new and existing uDOSE™️ systems.
The new cages will not only safeguard the equipment from potential damage caused by weather and animals, but also enhance the aesthetic appeal of the systems on our customers’ properties.
As we continue to expand our customer base, it’s important for us to ensure that our customers not only receive a product that performs well but also one that they can take pride in displaying on their land.
Overall, these upgrades are designed to make water supplementation more efficient, more capable and more secure. We’re excited to see the impact they’ll have on livestock operations across the country and look forward to continuing to develop products that help farmers succeed.
