If you had one shot, one opportunity, would you capture it or just let it slip?

Aussie farmers have the opportunity to show the world that growing quality and affordable produce doesn’t have to come at a cost to our environment. At DIT AgTech, we’re helping livestock producers seize this opportunity.

Reduce methane by 10% with uPRO BLUE

uPRO BLUE, pioneered by DIT AgTech, is Australia’s only methane-reducing feed supplement able to be delivered by a precision delivery system into livestock drinking water. It leverages a blend of crude protein and phosphorus to improve livestock productivity. Plus Agolin, a certified and approved feed additive that can cut livestock methane emissions by 10%.

Automate carbon accounting

The DIT AgTech uDOSE™️ supplement delivery system monitors flow rates and supplement consumption, and stores this data in an easy to use dashboard called uHUB. The dashboard automatically calculates methane avoidance. Making it easy to claim a Carbon Credit.

Claim your carbon credits

We are currently working with Verra to develop a project and methodology that will allow producers to claim carbon credits by methane emissions avoidance. Once we register the project, producers will be able to claim carbon credits for their methane emission avoidance efforts. Any methane previously reduced via uDOSE™️ will be claimable in retrospect.

WHY IT MATTERS

Methane: A crucial opportunity in the climate fight

Methane has more than 80 times the warming power of carbon dioxide over the first 20 years after it reaches the atmosphere. While CO2 has a longer-lasting effect, methane sets the pace for warming in the near term.

Methane emissions from ruminant livestock in Australia account for 11% of total national greenhouse gas emissions. Extensive grazing contributes to 92% of all Methane emissions from livestock in Australia.

Cutting methane emissions is the fastest opportunity we have to immediately slow the rate of global warming, even as we decarbonise our energy systems.

Your work to reduce methane emissions on your farm is vital to helping slow climate change, and giving us time to adapt.

INNOVATING FOR IMPACT

Curbing methane emissions with DIT AgTech

™️DIT AgTech is currently working with Verra the world’s most widely used voluntary emissions reduction certifier – to develop a project and methodology that will allow producers to claim carbon credits by methane emissions avoidance.

Our uDOSE™️ supplement delivery system can feed methane-reducing supplements to cattle via drinking water while accurately measuring and recording consumption data.

We are close to gaining approval from Verra to include water measuring technology (uDOSE™️) as a delivery mechanism for methane reducing feed additives under the VM0041 Methodology.

Producers can already start feeding a methane-reducing supplement (uPRO BLUE) to livestock using the uDOSE™️ system.

Once we register our project with Verra, producers will also be able to claim carbon credits for their methane emission avoidance efforts. Any methane previously reduced via uDOSE™️ will be claimable in retrospect.

Methane Reduction Research Trial – Belmont Station, Rockhampton

Take a look at our Methane Research Trial in Rockhampton, conducted in collaboration with CQUni, Meat and Livestock Australia and Advance Queensland. The trial was set up to evaluate if we can successfully deliver methane reducing additives through the water, via our uDOSE™ system.

Join our Innovations Lead Vivienne McCollum, Dr. Eli Romanzini, Dr. Diogo Fleury and our CEO Mark Peart, as they walk you through the importance of our research, stages of the trial, the methodology and results we’ve gathered so far, plus how the result will help change the landscape of sustainable farming.
